First time students attending Undergraduate Orientation are encouraged to use the online photo submission site to upload a personal photo to be used on their Iowa One Card, the official University of Iowa student ID card. All submitted photos are subject to management approval and must meet the University's requirements for ID card photos.
Undergraduate first-year or transfer students who have registered for an Orientation session are encouraged to submit their photo online. Photos should be submitted no later than 7 calendar days prior to the assigned Orientation program. You will receive an e-mail at your @uiowa.edu account informing you if your photo has been accepted or rejected. Please monitor your @uiowa.edu e-mail address for official notification of photo status prior to orientation.

If your photo is accepted and you have received a confirmation e-mail from our office, you will be required to pick-up your card on the first day of orientation, prior to the beginning of the program. You will receive instructions when you check-in on where you will go to pick-up your card. It is required that you bring a form of government issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport or state issued photo identification, so that we can verify your identity and give you your Iowa One Card. Individuals who fail to bring and present the required identification WILL NOT receive their Iowa One Card. Iowa One Cards cannot be picked-up by a parent, guardian or anyone other than the student.
